Lizzie was purchased from Tomarkus whippets at 9 weeks old in 2001. It was never our intention to show her and she was a delight who never tired of playing fetch with a toy. However at 6 she became blind almost overnight and was diagnosed with SARDS. It was heartbreaking to see her confused but we were determined to help her all we could.

However she has quickly adapted and she has learnt that "careful" means she is about to bump into something. She still loves to play and has her own squeaky toy which she can retrieve by sound and smell.

Being blind has not stopped her getting around the garden and she can still find the flowers to chew the pansies!!
